Atlanta Medical Heritage Transfers Ownership of Academy of Medicine

(Atlanta) July 28, 2008 – Ownership of the Academy of Medicine, one of the few Atlanta buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, has been transferred to the Georgia Tech Foundation. Atlanta Medical Heritage Inc. made the gift in the wake of ongoing challenges faced by the nonprofit group to generate the resources necessary to maintain the historic landmark.                                                       (more...)

771 Spring Street Statement

As previously stated, the Georgia Tech Foundation is continuing its efforts to consider all options concerning the property located at 771 Spring Street. To that end, the Foundation has engaged Surber Barber Choate & Hertlein Architects, Inc., an Atlanta firm specializing in Historic Preservation and Urban Infill projects, to further study the potential rehabilitation of the building and the possibility of incorporating it into the Technology Square expansion.
